Nathan Peterman is Still Trying to Impersonate an NFL QB

Maybe this is just an elaborate prank being perpetrated by the Buffalo Bills organization.

The purpose of this possible hoax is anyone's guess, but it's the only reasonable explanation for what they're doing with their QB depth chart.

You may remember Nathan Peterman from last season, when the Bills inexplicably benched the now-departed Tyrod Taylor in favor of this poor, overmatched bastard.

The results of this bold experiment were tragically predictable.

Dude actually threw five picks in the first half of his NFL debut.

He completed six passes to teammates.

The former collegiate Volunteer and pro Panther was mercifully pulled from that game, but incredibly was allowed to start this snow game later in December.

He even made a brief appearance in the Bills playoff loss to Jacksonville, where he was promptly picked off.

It was probably assumed by most of the free world that Peterman wouldn't be allowed to ever start another NFL football game under any circumstances.

Well, most of the free world would be wrong.

Those masochists in the Bills front office, through an unholy confluence of events, named our intrepid hero as their starter for the season opener in Batimore.

To the surprise of exactly nobody, very bad things happened.

Please allow that throw to wash over you for a moment.

The Ravens managed to hang on in a 47-3 nailbiter.

Here is the final Peterman line, before he was yanked in favor of rookie Josh Allen early in the third quarter.

And that line, ladies and gentleman of the jury, represents a QB passer rating of 0.0.

Oh, and he just might start again next week.

Honestly, J Peterman would probably be a better choice under center at this point.

Yeah, that's the good stuff right there.
