Local Media Sings Happy Birthday Song to Big Boy Sean McVay

Thursday marked the 33rd birthday of Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay.

As a result, adult men and women employed as reporters decided it would be a super idea to sing the Happy Birthday song to another adult.

If you think this sounds really awkward and uncomfortable, then you'd be 100% correct.

Fortunately for all, this surreal scene was recorded for posterity and endless mockery.

Man, that's difficult to watch.

It was actually far worse for McVay, as the assembled media lined up after the press conference to tousle his hair and pat him on the head condescendingly.

Then they made his favorite balloon animals.

Here's the thing, though.

This passionate romance between McVay and seemingly anyone associated with football has gotten a bit outta hand.

Obviously, dude's enjoyed ridiculous success during his young career, and his age makes it even more unique.

However, following the copycat NFL template, teams are now looking to hire anyone in their 30's even tangentially associated with McVay, up to and including his landscaper and insurance agent.

We're so proud of our little man.

Slugger even has another coach whose sole job is to keep McVay from getting overexcited and running onto the field with the grown-ups.

No sugar on games days for you, champ.

This league-wide McVay lovefest doesn't extend to New Orleans, though, as the Saints and their fans don't really consider the Rams to be a legitimate Super Bowl team, for obvious reasons.

Kids get away with murder these days.
