Josh McCown's Retirement Lasted All of Two Months

Well, we probably should have seen this one coming.

Having formally retired two months ago, Josh MCown was apparently feeling just too damn good physically.

To alleviate this problem, the nomad QB gleefully accepted an offer of gainful employment with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Of course, considering the rates of attrition in the NFL, this call was inevitable.

Our grizzled pal has been signed to caddy for Carson Wentz, as Philly can't seem to keep any other QB's upright at the moment.

After someone named Nate Sudfeld fractured his wrist and Cody Kessler was concussed, the Eagles quickly pounced on the freshly minted ESPN talking head, snatching him from the warm bosom of Bristol.

Dude clearly needs his fix though, so who are we to condemn?

He's definitely in better shape than Pookie.

Obviously, McCown is still super-old in football years, having hit 40.

This'll make him the oldest current Eagles player, so that's something.

Here's another fun fact:

Golly, that just puts it all in perspective.

Our working theory involves McCown attempting to suit up for every single NFL team.

For the record, the Eagles make 11.

Godspeed, sir.
