Giants Head Coach Pat Shurmur Really Digs His Rookie QB Under the Covers

We're barely into June, but the New York Giants are already bringing the weird.

Of course, every single time overmatched GM Dave Gettleman opens his mouth, logic and reason politely excuse themselves from the room.

The virus appears to be airborne, because head coach Pat Shurmur has started spewing nonsense words.

There just might be a connection though, and the fulcrum is without question rookie QB Daniel Jones.

Well, let's examine the evidence at hand.

When peppered with questions about the surprising selection of Jones with the No 6 pick, Gettleman described a forbidden man-crush he'd apparently developed for the Duke product.

Obviously, the Big Blue contingent felt differently.

Despite his GM being overwhelmed with feelings he doesn't understand, Shurmur also appears to be nursing some unrequited man-love for Jones, although he's slightly more discreet about it.

Actually, that thinly-veiled innuendo was directed at Eli Manning as well, which is making us really uncomfortable right now.

In fact, we're beginning to think that the Giants drafted Eli's clone for reasons completely unrelated to football.

Perhaps we should just stop asking questions.
