Gardner Minshew Has Been Formally Anointed the Jock Strap King
Gardner Minshew continues to keep it weird.
The tale of this obscure backup QB ...
- who was turned into a college phenomenon by Mike Leach, and
- who has now morphed into the quirky starter for Jacksonville
... still appears to have legs, and yet another chapter was added this past Sunday. We'll get to the actual football in a moment.
First though, to the business at hand.
Jags RB Leonard Fournette has revealed a second nickname for the dude we've come to know as Uncle Rico.
Wait for it.
He's known in the locker room as the Jock Strap King.
Now we wouldn't be discussing all of this fun shit if dude couldn't play.
But he absolutely can.

That money throw led to the game-winning field goal in a 26-24 road win over the Broncos.
And just to clarify, we can still call him Uncle Rico as long as he's sporting that jock strap.
