Fired Rutgers Coach Chris Ash No Longer Forced to Coach Rutgers

Chris Ash has been given a new lease on life.

We could only be so lucky.

The brilliant minds at Rutgers have released the poor bastard from his coaching bondage in a decision that can most accurately be described as an act of compassion.

Of course, true benevolence would involve pulling the plug on the entire football program, but one step at a time.

Ash compiled a record of 8-32 in Pisacataway before his sentence was mercifully suspended.

And it turns out that his final game at Rutgers was a 52-0 cornhole at the hands of MIchigan, which is bitterly ironic because Jim Harbaugh called Ash by the name of Rob after last season's beatdown.

And on the subject of records, the Big Ten completely owned Ash and the Scarlet Knights to the tune of 3-26.

They must really miss their time in the Big East, when faith-based initiative Greg Schiano was around.

Incredibly, he may be coming back for more:

Obviously.

Oh, and one more thing:

With that influx of mob money, maybe they can upgrade the facilities a bit.
