Klay Thompson Gets Crazy-Hot Hand, Breaks NBA Single Game 3-Point Record

Klay Thompson recently entered what is commonly referred to as the zone.

The Golden State Warriors' shooting guard didn't vacate this sacred area until he had broken the single-game record for three-pointers made, a mark previously held by his multiple-MVP trophy hoarding teammate Steph Curry.

Simply put, dude went nuts in Chicago against the Bulls, a team that doesn't seem to prioritize defense.

By all means, have a look:

That was profound.

Thompson had actually been struggling from distance to begin the new season, but he took care of that by going 14-24 from the land of plenty en route to a 52-point evening.

Dude somehow managed to do this in a tidy 27 minutes, breaking the record midway through the third quarter.

Thompson is obviously an elite player, but it seems entirely possible that he may have literally lost consciousness at some point during this performance.

And good news from the NBA league office.

Despite the fact that the Chicago Bulls are apparently genetically predisposed to not play any defense whatsoever, there won't be an asterick next to Thompson's record.

Klay was so pleased with this development that he decided to costume for Halloween.
