West Ham Stuns Manchester United in London

In sport, as in life, it's not wise to take anything for granted.

Manchester United had this reinforced the hard way when they traveled to the London Stadium without their A-game.

West Ham United flashed lotsa solid football and ended up blanking Ole Gunnar Solskjær's side, 2-0, through goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell.

The victory was thorough and well deserved.

It didn't take long for the hosts to establish themselves as the brighter side, constantly threatening David de Gea.

Their industrious attitude paid off on the stroke of the break. After a good team-move, Felipe Anderson crossed perfectly to Yarmolenko, who controlled the ball and half-volleyed home past de Gea:

After the interval, United started to get their act together and probably should've grabbed the equalizer through Juan Mata, but the Spaniard fired off-target.

Their fortunes didn't get any better when main man Marcus Rashford had to be subbed off for injury. This might've been a buzzkill for morale, but the reality is dude hadn't even registered a shot to that point.

Momentum seemed to swing back the Hammers' way after that, and they promptly retook control of the match.

Dudes wrapped it up on 84 minutes through a superb Cresswell free-kick from 25 yards:

Suffice to say, with a mere 8 points through 6 games, Solskjær's feeling even more heat from Red Devil Nation.

West Ham, on the other hand, are in fifth on goal difference and making Manuel Pellegrini a happy manager. For now, at least.
