The Champions League Is Real Madrid’s Playground

It was another one of those games where the big boys came, they saw, and they conquered.

Real Madrid outshined AS Roma in their first leg of the Champions League round of sixteen as they won with an important scoreline of 0-2.

Those away goals all but sealed the deal.

Real could have drawn a tougher opponent, but Roma isn't exactly chopped liver.

As usual, Cristiano Ronaldo got the show on the road:

Mr Deflection is a friend of Ronaldo, too.

Both sides traded blows, but the last laugh -- as is so often the case -- went to Real when Jesé Rodriguez scored a stunning solo goal:

Zinedine Zidane must have transplanted his attacking genes into his players. Only a cure for terminal cancer could keep that medical miracle off the front pages.

Those are better odds than anyone's giving Roma right now.
