FA Cup: Tottenham Swats Swans Aside to Gain FA Cup Semis

About all the North London invaders didn't do was trample a few leek patches.

Swansea City was so thoroughly thrashed by Tottenham in this FA Cup quarter-final that their 0-3 virtually flattered to deceive.

It was enough to make one leaf back through the competition to make sure there wasn't a mistake in their getting this deeply into it.

Imagine what would've been if Harry Kane.had been in the Spurs' XI.

The first goal came so quickly, there wasn't even any time to build up some suspense.

Danish wizard Christian Eriksen sniped it in the 11th minute, and the effort was special:

Dude couldn't have placed it any better.

Swansea held down the fort for the balance of the half before they got schooled when Erik Lamela deceived everyone in injury time:

Talk about a goalkeeping howler at its most audacious!

It exemplified Swans' fortunes on the day.

A rocky performance, indeed.

And it wasn't over.

Eriksen tried his luck again, this time from the next postal code and ... well ...

Let that serve as a reminder that British Summer Time is still a week away.

Someone adjusted his body clock too early. Or too late.

Or whatever.

Now they can focus on what's important, like avoiding relegation.

A few more outings like this, and it'll be closing time.
