Rashford Strikes Late, Man Utd Squash Cherries

It was clear from the start that José Mourinho needed someone to step up if Manchester United was going to salvage anything outta Bournemouth at Dean Court.

And that dude wasn't on the pitch.

However, he was on the touchline and available for duty.

Thus, when Marcus Rashford was tapped on the shoulder, he sprung into action and ultimately scored a goal that gave the Red Devils a dramatic late victory, 1-2.

Bournemouth broke from the gate with both barrels blazing, attacking with speed and creating strong opportunities.

They were soon rewarded when Junior Stanislas, int the 11th minute, received the ball on the right wing and low-crossed it to Callum Wilson. Dude didn’t give David de Gea a chance:

United's disarray was on full display as the Cherries continued to charge forward.

Mourinho's halftime thoughts were accurate, too. The Red Devils were lucky not to be more goals down.

As these matches always seem to go, after missing so many chances, Bournemouth ultimately surrendered the equalizer.

In the 35th minute, Alexis Sánchez stole the ball, drove to the box, and made a perfect pass to Anthony Martial.

Bingo. Tie game:

From the last minutes of the first half and on into the early portion of the second, both 'keepers were earning their money.

This was true especially for Asmir Begović, who saved the home side on numerous occasions.

Into additional time this one went, then, which is when United went into all or nothing mode, and it produced results in the 92nd minute. That's when Paul Pogba crossed Rashford, who made no mistake:

With this result, Bournemouth and United are both sitting on 20 points:
