PSG Blasts Bordeaux; Neymar and Cavani Are Besties Again
It boggles the mind how a football club that's basically bought itself Ligue 1 championships for years to come still manages to host a soap opera.
Then again, big egos almost always accompany big contracts.
So, are we really to believe that Paris-St Germain now has the world's newest version of the legendary Alfonse et Gaston?
Now, over a century later, it still seems that what unites them is a shot.
As in, who gets to start set pieces and take penalty shots for PSG?
Until Neymar showed up, that distinction almost always went to Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani. It's safe to say dude didn't exactly take the matter graciously.
In the midst of PSG's routine destruction of Bordeau, 6-2, the matter arose five minutes before intermission.
To the surprise of all, there was no discussion.
If ever the two snipers would ever decide to meet in an alley and settle this themselves, Cavani would get better odds than Floyd Mayweather did, so the fact that Neymar stepped up to take the kick was the surest sign that, at the very least, a truce had been called.

True feelings were the only uncertainty in this match, where the Brazilian lit it up only five minutes in, and Cavani netted five minutes later with Neymar's help:
The play-by dude's gonna go hoarse by Christmas if PSG keeps this up.
Afterward, manager Unai Emery decided that -- since bribery didn't work; what's €1million these days, anyway? -- it was time to earn his salary by making an executive decision that the pair would alternate duties.
Sounds logical, but will it last?
You could probably get Conor McGregor odds on that one.
