Palace Gains Breathing Room in Relegation Battle

As it has been since 1066, there's still only one battle at Stamford Bridge that really matters.

And that was the one up North.

Down London way, though, in that Stamford Bridge, it's all over bar the shouting, too.

So, only two real dramas remain in the Premiership:

• Who's getting a place in Europe next season, and
• Who's staying at the top tier next season.

Relegation-threatened Crystal Palace hosted equally threatened Watford on Saturday and came out 1-0 winners in this important clash for survival.

A stalemate would've simply kicked the can down the road when it was really time for the rubber to meet it, and when the latter happened, it was totally fitting for a bottom-feeders' fight.

Awesome form, though.

All things considered, Deeney's done a decent job scoring goals for the Hornets this season:
