Manchester United Vault over Brighton into FA Cup Semis
After their usual downer of a Champions League exit -- to say the least -- the Reds Devils finally have some sunny light in their drizzle of a campaign.
Manchester United put their immediate past in the rear-view mirror, or as much as any club helmed by José Mourinho can do that, and swooped down on easy prey in Brighton & Hove Albion to book a spot in the FA semis.
Their routine 2-0 result was as mechanical as their vacant performance against Sevilla.
The obvious difference is the Seagulls weren't the Sevillistas.
Old enough.
Romelu Lukaku was angry at his teammates following their departure from the Champions League playoffs but still did his job in this match:
Dude's striker intellect is remarkable, given his tender age.
United still spent 'way too much time meandering around the Old Trafford wilderness before Nemanja Matić’s header gave ticket holders a bitta splash for their cash:
That sealed the foregone deal.
But it still felt empty.
