Solskjær's Touch Also Works in the FA Cup: Man United Top Arsenal

Seems clear by now that former Red Devil mainstay Ole Gunnar Solskjær has learned his managerial lessons well.

A washout at Cardiff City, dude retreated to the Norwegian club where he led Molde FK to Europa League success, winning a group ahead of Fenerbahçe, Ajax and Celtic.

Now, dude's got his old haunts giddy with joy, as Manchester United is firing on all cylinders again.

Their latest triumph has come in the FA Cup's fourth round, putting on a splendid display of football by eliminating Arsenal, 1-3, with thanks to Alexis Sánchez, Jesse Lingard, and Anthony Martial.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the only dude to post a goal for the hosts.

The Gunners opened aggressively, and although they seemed to be the ones who'd open up the scoring, irony intervened.

It was their former striker, Sánchez, who opened the scoring.

In the 31st minute, Romelu Lukaku dropped him a dime, whereupon the Chilean rounded goalkeeper Petr Čech and narrow-angled a scud:

Itonly took the Red Devils two minutes to double their lead.

Arsenal threw themselves at United for a quick-fire equalizer, but ended up conceding. And it was lethal, as Luke Shaw picked out Lukaku, freeing the Belgian International to sprint down the wing.

Dude saw Lingard moving into the box and served him well for a classy finish from close-range:

Arsenal got back into the game in the 43rd minute, albeit momentarily.

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey moved down the left lane, got inside the area, and assisted Gabonese international Aubameyang, who couldn't miss from such distance:

Despite Arsenal's reaction, United appeared to have everything under control throughout the match.

The only dangerous action the hosts could muster from that point onward was an attempted Alexandre Lacazette finish, which was saved by Sergio Romero.

After locking down the pitch for the balance of the match, the Devils found occasion to put a cherry on top of their efforts.

In the 82nd, Paul Pogba took possession at midfield, drove forward, and took a crack at it from outside the area. Čech made a good save, but the rebound went straight to Martial, who smashed it into the back of the net:

It's easy to see the Devils are playing as if they've been unshackled.

They've probably got too much ground to make up to be a Premiership challenger, but Top Four is reachable.

Now, if they keep this form, they could still bring home a bitta hardware.
