Manchester City Steamrolls over the Arsenal

It's just turned November, and already the Premiership title looks like a done deal.

Yes, contenders have 38 matches to bridge an 8-point gulf between Manchester City and them, but that means more than one club's gotta slow the Citizens down.

Coming into the weekend, Liverpool and Chelsea had already failed to do so.

Now, Arsenal hasn't fared any better.

Sunday afternoon’s big clash with the Gunners morphed into a routine Citizens' 3-1 grind-down.

Kevin De Bruyne has found his form in the Premiership this season. He showed it again in the 19th minute in the midst of Arsenal being bamboozled on the back end:

Sergio Agüero hammered home the second with a sweetly converted penalty in the 50th minute:

Arsenal’s newest addition, Alexandre Lacazette, came back with a reply to keep things interesting:

Game on again?

Gabriel Jesus made sure Arsenal weren't walking away with a close one as the bumbling Arsenal defense fumbled yet again:

It'll be a month before another contender takes a shot at City, and that'll be Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sun 10 Dec.

In the meantime, City's pursuers will have their hands full just keeping pace.
