Chelsea and Leicester Share Points at Stamford Bridge

It's not like Leicester City didn't try to make this Frank Lampard's red-letter day.

Dude's still trying to claim his first victory as Chelsea's manager, and the sportsbooks were heralding this as when it'd happen.

Onyinye Ndidi did his best to be a good guest, literally gifting the Blues an opening goal before pulling it back himself to produce the 1-1 draw that's forced Super Frank to wait for another day.

Mason Mount scored for the hosts after a near-perfect start, thanks to a terrible mistake from Ndidi.

The Nigerian tried to dribble right in front of his goal, lost possession to Mount, and Kasper Schmeichel had no chance:

Chelsea kept trying to build on their good, but the Foxes parried every thrust before totally blunting their attack.

Not that the Blues didn't have self-inflicted errors along the way, as well.

After the interval, we saw a completely different game.

Leicester was the brighter side, with James Maddison was orchestrating the midfield with dangerous theoughballs. The Blues had no answer for him.

The Foxes' equalizer came at 67 minutes through the same Ndidi whose brain fart caused Chelsea's opener. The Nigerian international went higher than anyone to head home Maddison's corner:

After that, it was all about Chelsea desperaely keeping the extra two points away from Leicester, who went within inches of grabbing the winner, once via Maddison ...

...and then through Jamie Vardy:

All in all, this was a strong road performance from the Midlanders.

As to the Blues, odds are they're gonna win a Premiership match sometime. Lampard is no doubt counting on it sooner rather than later.
