Champions League Quarter-Final Draw Features a Premiership Turf War
English disappointment in Champions League competition has been halved.
With the Premiership's contingent in bracket play dropping like flies, there was only one way to ensure that it'd have a presence in the semi-finals.
And that was to draw their two remaining clubs together in the quarters.
With a simple rule change, this became possible.
Then, the possible became the reality.

At least Liverpool and Manchester City won't suffer from travel fatigue.
Their grounds are less than an hour away from each other.
The Reds and Citizens split their conference matches this season:
Seems like we can rest assured their next two clashes won't be barren of shots.
Of the other pairings:
- AS Roma appears overmatched against Barcelona, which is an ironic assessment of a club that's gotten this far, but that's the harsh reality;
- Sevilla has proven to be a tough out all season long, but big-brand FC Bayern is hard to argue against.
- Then, of course, there's no chance of last year's title rematch because Real Madrid and Juventus are meeting in this round.
Tell the two English sides about it.
Four clashes in one season is a bit much, but when all is done and dusted, at least one of them won't be complaining.
