Bayern Blows Another Two-Goal Lead; Draws with Hertha Berlin
The old bromide is a two-goal lead is the most dangerous one in sports.
FC Bayern will have bought into it the way their nightmare of a season -- relatively speaking -- is going.
Yet again, Die Roten jumped out to a quick 0-2 lead at Hertha Berlin, only to give it all back due to diabolical defending and, it must be said, switching to cruise control 'way too early.
After another strong start, Bayern simply lost the plot.
They also lost sight of the target. After dominating possession the entire game, the Bavarians still only put 5 shots on net in 16 attempts.
As it turned out, Die Blau-Weiß had the same accuracy with five fewer shots, picking apart their opponents' back four to salvage what for them is a precious point.
The way it's going, each point is valuable for Bayern, too.
They may rue the day two of them went crashing into the wall in the late going here.
Worse, how does this happen to an accomplished veteran like Franck Ribery:
That's a 34-year-old knee, and it's a setback that's gonna have Die Roten holding its collective breath. Ribery was in too much pain for it to be examined after the match.
Borussia Dortmund is far from infallible, but they've got to like their growing cushion at the Bundesliga's top:

Meanwhile, Bayern's search for a manager continues after Carlo Ancelotti got his marching orders after watching a 2-0 lead go up in flames against Paris-St Germain in a Champions League clash.
Odds are interim caretaker Willy Sagnol can't turn over the reins soon enough.
