NHL Officials Seem to Have a Thing for Evander Kane
Well, here's a new one.
There are officials in all of the major professional sports who tend to be on the aggressive side.
And then there's an NHL official by the name of Kiel Murchison.
In a recent pre-season exercise between the San José Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights, dude inserted himself into the action.
Oh, he sure did, and the object of his wrath was most certainly Evander Kane.

There's really not much ambiguity here.
And in a cruel twist of irony, Kane was ejected for abuse of officials, which would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
However, opinions do vary, so there are plenty of folks online who feel differently:

But that's not what went down.

Hmmm, there's a theme developing.
Sadly, the fact that Kane is black does muddle the situation quite a bit.
Evander is certainly not shy about mixing it up, though.
Now that's a hat trick.
