Every Christmas, PK Subban Becomes PK Santa

Many see Nashville Predators defenseman PK Subban as a polarizing figure.

Actually, off the ice, dude's more like an emissary from the North Pole.

For every lowball jock out there calling attention to himself, there are ten times more dudes who realize their good fortune and are happy to share.

In that respect, Subban is clearly a 1%er of giving.

It began with his days as a Montréal Canadien with events like this:

Not only did Subban wind up relocated to Nashville, so did his affinity for dispensing holiday joy for challenged kids.

This was Christmas 2016:

Dude also showed an affinity for going undercover for the benefit of kids.

His first mission was staged in Montréal back in 2014.

Not sure who enjoyed it more:

This, too, followed him to the Music City.

Subban created a program called Blueline Buddies as part of his community outreach efforts there.

Here's one of his character-acting surprises for this holiday season:

It's notable that munchkins in non-traditional hockey market Nashville picked up on Subban's identity before the scene played out.

Dude's having a positive effect in more ways than one: becoming a role model.

This isn't just a seasonal gig, either.

Last March, Subban was honored for his pledge to raise $10million for the Montréal Children's Hospital. There's no doubt he'll attain this goal.

And no matter how many of them he scores on the ice, this will surely be the one for which he's most proud.
