Would You Trust Charles Barkley with Your Super Bowl Play?

'Way back in 1984, when paranoids were waiting for George Orwell to break out everywhere, a certain junior from Auburn was overdosing on Denny's during the NBA draft.

Charles Barkley didn't want the Philadelphia 76ers to select him.

But they did, he went un-Denny to slim back down -- yes, dude was svelte once -- and the Sixers ultimately wound up retiring his number.

It's no surprise then, that Barkley showed up watching the NFC title game in owner Jeffrey Lurie's luxury box.

And it's even less of a shock to hear the Round Mound of Rebound's gonna drop dosh on the underdog Eagles in the Super Bowl.

Bovada opened their book by listing Philadelphia as a -5 dog.

Do know there's an outfit in China that's become huge Eagles fans.

Right there with Sir Charles.

Dude's gambling losses are well-documented, so if he says he's going six figures into Philly action, is he doing it as an older, wiser punter?

Barkley's got company.

Not only has so much money poured into Las Vegas on the underdogs that some books have dropped the spread by a point.

Even more impressively, remember the mystery dude who let his action ride in the World Series last fall?

Dude's back, and he's going large on the dogs, too.

It's clear Barkley's playing on emotion. The mystery dude's got to have some sorta system.

How about you?
