The Miami Dolphins Are Orchestrating an Epic Tank Job

Tanking has become quite fashionable in both MLB and the NBA over the last decade or so.

However, the NFL's a different animal, and as such, this polarizing phenomenon hasn't really been a thing.

Until now, that is.

The Miami Dolphins are embarking on a bold journey of suck in 2019, having already completed the first phase against the Ravens this past Sunday.

While the integrity of tanking will always be questioned, the Dolphins really don't have much of a choice.

Even a cursory glance at the roster tells us that the ceiling for this group is probably around 3-to-4 wins, and that's assuming effort on their part.

This is especially true after the trade that sent stud OL Laremy Tunsil and rabble-rousing WR Kenny Stills to the Texans in exchange for multiple draft picks.

Of course, there are negatives as well.

ESPN's Mike Greenberg hopped up on his soapbox recently to deride the practice, for the NFL at least:

Due to the savagery of the NFL and brief shelf-life of its employees, expecting players to waste an entire season with this nonsense seems unreasonable, even if their head coach is delusional enough to think the team can win.

In fact, some of these dudes are already looking to get the hell out of Dodge.

And who could possibly blame them?
