NFL Thanksgiving Week ATS Hit List: Time to Feast

Sometimes, leftovers just taste better.

In this extended Thanksgiving week in the NFL, the early games were going to the dogs, following a season-long trend.

So it's about time for a few favorites to come outta the cold as the weekend winds down.

And they're well and truly gonna show up.

Here's where the season-long ATS stats are coming into today's action:

  • Home teams ... 75-100-4 ... 42.86%
  • Home favorites ... 45-68-4 ... 39.82%
  • Road favorites ... 32-30 ... 51.61%

With the sportsbooks doing their balancing act of keeping plays as 50-50 propositions, it's still a decent time to hunt favorites.

With two exceptions, that's what we've done in our list of suggestions.

Please remember that our picks are based on early lines. Should you be inclined to agree, check where the lines are now before making a play.

Sun 1 Dec

New York Jets -3 at Cincinnati Bengals

Incredibly, the Jets are the hottest team in the NFL. It’s tough to say, but it’s true. Dudes made it three in a row in when they beat the Oakland Raiders 35-3 as a +3½ home dog. They've scored 34 points in each of their three straight victories.

The Bengals battled Pittsburgh to a 16-10 loss. Cincinnati's played much better in recent weeks, but the line is low. Jets cover.

Result: Cincinnati 22 New York Jets 6 ... Bengals cover

Green Bay at New York Giants +7

The Packers face a potential trap game against the G-Men. Green Bay battles San Francisco next week. They could have a letdown in this one.

While New York lost again last week, they did play Chicago tough. Also, Saquon Barkley is the top offensive player for either team. If dude gets going, the Giants can make life tough for the Packers. I'm liking the home dog, here. Take the points.

Result: Green Bay 31 New York Giants 13 ... Packers cover

Washington Redskins at Carolina Panthers -9

This is a horrible matchup for Washington. Dudes allow 24½ points per game. They rank 28th in rushing yards allowed. Opponents run for 137.6 per.

The Panthers’ Christian McCaffrey should post over 100 yards and 2 TDs before halftime. Carolina rolls.

Result: Washington 29 Carolina 21 ... Redskins cover

San Francisco 49ers at Baltimore Ravens -4½

In their victory over New England, the Ravens showed that no team can stop their rushing attack. Baltimore averages 203.1 rushing yards per. San Francisco has a great pass defense, but the rush defense allows 110.1 on average.

The Ravens should dominate from start to finish. In the NFL, matchups mean everything. This is a bad one for the Niners.

Result: Baltimore 20 San Francisco 17 ... 49ers cover

Minnesota Vikings +2½ at Seattle Seahawks

It’s hard to imagine two more similar teams. The Vikings average 142.5 rushing yards per. The Seahawks averages 136.9 on the ground.

Minnesota, though, has the better defense.

Seattle's played at a high-level in recent weeks, but they could come crashing down here. Back Skål.

Result: Seattle 37 Minnesota 30 ... Seahawks cover
