Matthew Stafford Hunting Season Is in Full Swing

It's not a whole lot of fun being Matthew Stafford right now.

The Detroit Lions' presumed franchise QB is in the midst of a rough patch at the moment, which culminated in a grotesque performance in Minnesota last Sunday.

Somehow, this poor dude was sacked 10 times by the Vikings, while also gifting them a TD with a really ill-advised lateral attempt.

Here's that dubious decision in full color:

In theory, the Lions were still in the game, only being down 11 points, but Stafford extinguished that flame with this bold gambit.

It's entirely possible that his brain was already broken from the brutal assault his shitty offensive line had allowed to take place.

The media hordes have been taking shot after shot against Stafford, compelling his outspoken wife Kelly to publicly defend her beleaguered husband.

That's a good woman.

One particularly nasty critique was provided by former QB turned analyst Rich Gannon, who suggested Stafford was overpaid and compiles stats in garbage time.

Apparently, this well worn narrative raised the ire of our troubled hero.

Of course, he's 100% correct.

The Lions are dysfunction junction at the moment, but fortunately, new head coach Matt Patricia is focused on righting the ship and isn't in any way distracted by trivial matters such as the posture of local beat reporters.

Oh wait, never mind.
