Johnny Manziel Reinvents Himself yet Again as a Corporate Shill
At this point, piling on Johnny Manziel seems unnecessarily cruel.
However, we're going to go ahead and do it, anyway.
Fresh out of football leagues to run around in, Johnny needed to figure out a way to fill the hours and pay the bills.
And what better way to accomplish this than to whore it up for a discount insurance company?
Yeah, it's not looking good.
Fortunately for us, former NFL WR Antonio Bryant -- who probably should sympathize, but what the hell? -- spotted the following billboard and then crafted a mean-spirited tweet:
Johnny Car Insurance @JManziel2 on billboards now? They really tried to compare @bakermayfield to this guy? 😂 pic.twitter.com/XsZyPOh2dB

As you can probably ascertain from the advertisement, the good people at Direct Auto Insurance have come up with a brilliant marketing campaign that seems personally tailored to Manziel's career arc.
Apparently, they're also pretty sensitive about it, tossing a concussion grenade into Bryant's lap:
How many times did you get cut? 🧐

But Antonio was ready:
3 times in my career but I damn sure ain't never needed my face on a billboard as the face of a 1 star customer reviewed auto insurance company with a C+ BBB rating to keep my money right... https://t.co/rsrpylpqJ1

Jesus, dude really did his research.
Of course, this is all so very sad.
Johnny Malcontent burned his most recent bridge in the CFL and then had that brief fling with the doomed AAF.
The only league left would be the new and improved XFL, which John Boy expressed an interest in when it was first announced early last year:

But this was also not to be:

Even Vince McMahon has standards.
