Doug Marrone Places His Righteous Boot on the Neck of the New York Jets

The Jacksonville Jaguars probably ran up the score on the New York Jets this past Sunday.

And if they did, it may or may not have something to do with a vengeful Doug Marrone attempting to embarrass the Jets organization for choosing Todd Bowles as their head coach instead of him.

To summarize ever so briefly, the Jags were up, 25-12, and had a fourth-&-goal with under 30 seconds left when they decided to run TJ Yeldon in for a score.

But it gets worse.

These heartless bastards actually went for two.

They didn't convert, but it's the thought that counts.

There are numerous opinions on the concept of running up the score in an NFL game, with many claiming this is big boy football and everyone should just get over themselves.

Here's Marrone himself with twenty seconds of gibberish on the subject:

Sure, Doug, whatever you say.

The Jets may have some ideas on what Marrone can do with that two-point conversion chart.

Jags QB Blake Bortles, that consummate company man, injected a little humor into the situation:

Indeed, that sort of strategic maneuvering is well above his pay grade.

Anyway, this lingering hostility would be pretty entertaining in a rematch, but that would require the Jets to qualify for the playoffs.

Exactly.
