Dirk Koetter Shows Initiative by Suggesting His Own Firing
They say some folks are their own worst critic.
Dirk Koetter appears to be the living embodiment of this axiom.
The embattled Tampa Bay head coach was quite distraught after his Buccaneers apparently forgot there was a football game scheduled for Sunday in Chicago.
This one got out of hand really quickly:

That would be Mitch Trubisky's first TD pass of the day.
There would be five more.

Hey, that was another one.
Apparently, Coach Koetter feels his team shouldn't have allowed six TD passes to the Bears' second-year QB, who entered this game with nine career TD passes.
In fact, the Bucs' leader felt so strongly that he casually suggested that everyone involved in the debacle should be shown the door, including himself.
Perhaps that would be best for all concerned, as the fortunes of Bruce's Boys have taken a nasty turn over the past two weeks.
The FitzMagic phenomenon disappeared like a fart in the wind, with Ryan Fitzpatrick returning to clipboard duty in favor of problem child Jameis Winston.

The cycle continues.
As for Koetter, he should probably think about discarding defensive coordinator Mike Smith, becuase that defense is rather pungent.
Yep, just take him fishing.
