Rookie Punter Goes Rogue in His Own Endzone
Punting just got interesting, perhaps for the first time.
With sincerest apologies to the charismatic but currently unemployed Marquette King, a punter by the name of Michael Dickson is causing something of a buzz.
The Seattle Seahawks rookie became a legend in his very first game, when he launched missile after missile into the thin air at Mile High Stadium against the Broncos.
But this past Sunday in Detroit, the Australian footmeister completely lost his mind.
The Seahawks were nursing a 28-14 lead very late in the fourth quarter when this rookie punter did something very unpuntery, after being instructed to take the safety.

The word brazen comes to mind.
Yep, that's another one.
In a game as rigid and militaristic as NFL football, this sort of behavior is typically frowned upon.

However, this doesn't appear to be the case in Seattle, where the still vigorous Pete Carroll has created a culture where wacky shit like this can be appreciated.
Of course, if this little gambit had failed and the Lions would've somehow pulled out the win, Dickson just might have received a different reaction.
But alas, everything worked out in the end.
Dickson even earned a new nickname from his amused teammates.

Okay then, Big Balls it is.
Close enough.
