Well, that escalated quickly.
A completely innocuous Big XII game involving the Baylor Bears and Iowa State Cyclones suddenly got nasty at the beginning of the second half.
As is usually the case, these hostilities began with a late hit, this one courtesy of Baylor's Harrison Hand apparently tossing Iowa State running back David Montgomery into a bench.
Or perhaps someone's mother was insulted.
Whatever the case, things got weird later in the drive.
Yeah, that's unfortunate.
As the play-by-play man accurately observed, that punch was thrown at a dude wearing a helmet, which is just not a sound strategy.
Sadly, this absence of logic takes place quite often during these little skirmishes.
Anyway, the referees decided to put their collective feet down with a definitive statement:

Yep, both teams.
Also this:
Baylor QB Charlie Brewer just got ejected because of this. He got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for arguing with an official, so now that's technically his second of the game. Unreal. https://t.co/ZJeRNcYGXs

In addition, the two dudes throwing hands were asked to leave.
They'd be Baylor defensive end Greg Roberts and the aforementioned Montgomery.
Perhaps these two combatants forgot the first rule of Big XII fight club.
Well, you know the rest.
