You may have noticed that passing is now the preferred method of moving the football, at both the college and pro levels.
However, there's still something to be said for a brutal rushing attack.
Mike Gundy would most certainly agree, and he currently has the personnel to execute such a plan.
Enter Chuba Hubbard.
Besides having an impossibly cool name, this Cowboys RB has become a prolific weapon in the Gundy arsenal.
Just look at what dude did to Kansas State this past Saturday:

That's a pretty compelling reason.
Chuba does in fact lead FBS in rushing, and the above run was part of a 296-yard masterpiece against the Wildcats.
As a result, he's earned something of a cult status in Stillwater:

But that's only one of three separate 200-yard outings in his first five games.
That was 221 yards and three scores against Oregon State.
Well, you get the idea.
Although the QB's are getting all the Heisman love, there's been some buzz for Chuba:

1. 1,088 - Ricky Williams (TEX 1998)
2. 938 - @Hubbard_RMN (#okstate, 2019)
3. 773 - Ron Dayne (WIS 1999)
4. 570 - Derrick Henry (ALA 2015)
5. 487 - Mark Ingram (ALA 2009)
Interesting.
