The Following College Football Kickoff Return TD Is Just Plain Silly

The kickoff return can be one of the more exciting plays in football at any level, even if it's being slowly legislated out of the game.

In case you've forgotten how stimulating this can be, we direct you to a random DII matchup between two schools: Minot State and Minnesota-Duluth.

The dude who provided the following highlight is Cory Carignan, and he has a refined sense of the dramatic.

Please hold your applause until the end:

Friends, that's 104 yards, which is bananas.

When you're forced to break multiple tackles in your own end zone, chances are something's gone horribly awry.

However, the heroic Carignan kept his head on his shoulders and turned some chickenshit into a tasty, low carb chicken salad.

There's a good chance we won't see a kickoff return quite like that from the college big boys this season, and it's possible we won't ever see a kickoff return of any sort in the NFL again.

So cherish this moment, dear readers.

This special play got us to thinking about other really cool college football returns of any ilk, so we will show you some now.

And that all happened in one year.
