See, now this is why college football is far superior to the professional version, for pure entertainment value, anyway.
The Houston Cougars and Tulane Green Wave did the American Athletic Conference proud on Thursday night, providing the type of excitement you typically have to leave the house to find.
While the NFL was staging the weekly Thursday Night festival of flags and ambiguity, these two schools were getting it on.
Let's get right to the batshit ending.
You may want to sit down for this nonsense:
This is the best college football play of the season. Tulane with the fake kneel. Absolute brilliance! And they won on the next play! #Tulane pic.twitter.com/0RlG9ja1xF

Yep, the Wave dusted off that ol' fake kneel-down, followed by a stealthy handoff.
Dude almost made it to midfield with 12 seconds left, setting up the dagger:

What the actual hell.
This Tulane vs Houston game is why college football is sooo much better than the NFL. #HOUvsTUL pic.twitter.com/PUcbI3Gefw

Tulane fake knee for 20 yards! What a play. Then they follow it up with a 50 yard touch down! This is the real Thursday night football! #AAC pic.twitter.com/TuU5lSKip8

Precisely.
And by the way, these Tulane student-athletes were down 21 at one point.
Cougars head coach Dana Holgorsen was slightly miffed afterwards:
Dana Holgorsen: “It’s completely unacceptable on every single level to let them go 70 yards in 14 seconds. I don’t know what to say.”
— Joseph Duarte (@Joseph_Duarte) September 20, 2019
Well, he's right about that.
Holgorsen: “I’m looking at the stats. We’re better than them in every statistical caregory, obviously, except the score. I’ve never seen an ending like that in my life and I’ve been coaching for 25 years.”

Dude, your defense gave up 325 yards on the ground.
He'll feel better in the morning.
