The Delusional Larry Fedora Era Is Over at North Carolina

Fans of gibberish and mediocre football were dealt quite a blow this week.

Sadly, CTE denier and American military truther Larry Fedora was dismissed by the University of North Carolina after a second consecutive nine-loss campaign.

He will be missed, if only for the sound bites.

While the now former coach hadn't won many football games recently, he did leave us with a litany of dubious public statements that we can enjoy forever and ever.

Fedora's greatest hits library is filled with madness, particularly in regard to the game he cherishes so.

Yep, dude isn't quite convinced, despite overwhelming scientific evidence proving the link between football and CTE.

Unfortunately, Fedora never went on the record about global warming, but here he is waxing nostalgic about how the game used to be:

Well, hydration technology has come a long way, but these student-athletes will practice without water and like it.

Our old school hero even managed to go out in a blaze of delusion.

His Tar Heels fell 34-28 in OT against bitter rival NC State, the game ending with a nasty brawl immediately following the winning score.

This brawl definitely occurred, but Coach Fedora seemed oblivious afterwards, despite the miracle of video providing irrefutable proof.

That didn't appear to be cordial.

Thoughts on the fight, Coach?

Yikes!

The synapses just aren't quite firing.

Almost as incredible as all this, former Tar Heel coach Mack Brown is coming back for more.

The 67-year old retread will have some awfully big clown shoes to fill, but if anyone's up to it, UNC's got their man.
