Nebraska Kicker Completely Butchers an Onside Attempt
The Nebraska Cornhuskers performance against Ohio State was practically a miracle.
Scott Frost and his now 2-7 bunch somehow hung with the Buckeyes at the Horseshoe, finally falling 36-31.
While there's plenty for the Huskers to be proud of, the following onside kick attempt isn't among them.
Please don't enjoy a beverage while viewing this clip, as it will probably shoot right out of your nose:
This game is already getting weird. 😬 pic.twitter.com/t7hjeRGsY6

That cringe emoji is most appropriate.
Nebraska had just taken an early 7-0 lead when they attempted this bold onside kick gambit; it failed utterly and completely.
You really can't argue with the decision, as the Huskers are in the midst of a lost season and were sizable dogs in Columbus, so why not?
But the execution of said idea left much to be desired.
The collegiate placekicker in question is one Caleb Lightbourn, whose name suggests the possibility that he may be an intergalactic superhero of some sort.
However, that kick was in no way heroic, as poor Caleb actually fell down after botching the attempt.
Coordination is essential in competitive athletics, even for kickers.
Well, at least he didn't mangle his leg.
