Tom Izzo Manages to Stifle His Boiling Rage Against Minnesota

The sideline antics of Tom Izzo have become a popular talking point in the early rounds of the 2019 NCAA Tourney.

Some have contended the longtime Michigan State head coach is putting the madness in March Madness, while others insist he's just an Old School coach coaching old school.

Sparty easily dispatched Minnesota in the second round, winning 70-50 against the overmatched Gophers.

This comfortable margin provided a welcome reprieve for the agitated Izzo, who remained relatively subdued for most of the game.

Sadly, this wasn't the case in the first round against those feisty Bradley Braves.

While Izzo didn't have a member of his family abducted, he did become just a bit unhinged, focusing his rage on poor freshman guard Aaron Henry.

Okay, that may have been excessive.

We can all be thankful he wasn't behind the wheel.

Izzo clearly lost his shit here, as a few of his players were actually forced to physically separate him from the befuddled Henry.

However, the seven-time Final Four participant sees things differently.

Of course, his players and Henry himself were quick to defend this behavior, but the optics of a 64-year old man berating an 18-year old kid in public remain dubious at best.

That being said, the comparisons to Bob Knight need to stop.

Because Tom Izzo isn't a complete idiot.
