Sometimes these stories can be so goddamn depressing.
Apparently, a college basketball player by the name of Tyler Williams was recently asked to leave his University of Arkansas-Fort Smith hoops squad.
This sounds completely innocuous until you hear the reason why.
It was because of his hair.
Unfortunately, yes.
It seems that new head coach Jim Boone has brought with him a zero tolerance policy on dreadlocks, a hair style that this spectacular idiot simply won't stand for.
This nonsense actually just came to light due to a letter from Williams' parents to the school going viral:
As a student of UAFS, I will not be attending any UAFS basketball games while coach Jim Boone still holds his position. If discrimination like this because of someone’s natural HAIRSTYLE doesn’t infuriate you, then there’s a problem. I encourage students from UAFS to speak up. pic.twitter.com/D2gpWJYRAz

How dare Julia question the motives and tactics of Jim Boone.
The leading returning scorer would still be on the team, if only for those offensive and threatening dreadlocks.
The Williams family actually met with this hayseed formally, allowing Boone to display his ignorance in a more intimate setting.
We can only hope that this rube will be relieved of his duties soon.
In the meantime, we'll keep you posted if and when Boone takes a stand against cornrows.
