Vinsanity Will Survive at Least One More Season

Somehow, Vince Carter remains an active NBA player.

The Sacramento Kings were kind enough to ink the 40-year old to a one-year deal, thus ensuring just a bit more Vinsanity.

Of course, the madness has been rather subdued for a while now, but dude just keeps hanging on, anyway.

Besides, who's in any sort of position to begrudge someone choosing to earn $8million for limited work.

Apparently, in the modern NBA, it's not completely unreasonable to pay an individual that much money to make a minimal contribution off the bench.

Actually though, while Air Canada has long since been grounded, Carter did average almost 25 minutes per game for the Memphis Grizzlies last season.

That's not bad for an OG.

Carter could definitely ball back in the day, with his best years coming north of the border with the Toronto Raptors.

He also put up some more-than-adequate numbers in New Jersey, where he spent the back end of his prime.

This is what Vinsanity used to look like:

That cat could get off the ground.

Well, perhaps not like that.

When Carter does eventually decide to call it a career, the Hall of Fame will no doubt be waiting.

And of course, if Ice Cube and his BIG3 pro league remain solvent, Vince can always go do his thing there.

More of that, please.
