The Cavaliers Looked Pretty Awful Down the Stretch

With the NBA regular season nearing its conclusion, worthy teams are preparing for the playoffs.

Ideally, you'd want to be entering the post-season playing your best basketball.

At the moment, this scenario doesn't apply to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The defending champs have been decidedly average of late.

Included in this mediocrity would be this past weekend, which saw LeBron and the gang lose on back-to-back nights to the Atlanta Hawks.

The second of these two losses was particularly grisly, as the Cavs blew a 26-point fourth quarter lead in Atlanta.

Have a look at the carnage:

Yeah, that's not good.

By the way, this was sort of historic, as well:

Obviously, the Hawks benefited greatly from the missed call at the end of regulation.

However, that doesn't explain the porous Cavs defense that allowed the Hawks to score 44 points in the fourth quarter.

Cleveland should still be able to navigate their way through the East, but the Finals are another matter.
