Please Don't Make Victor Oladipo Angry
Well, that is what we commonly refer to in the industry as a statement game.
The Indiana Pacers went all scorched earth on the Cavaliers in Game 1 of their first-round series, winning handily 98-80 and securing the sacred NBA playoff road victory.
This occured in large part due to the efforts of one Victor Oladipo, who poured in 32 points on an efficient 11 of 19 from the field, a total that included a ridiculous 6 of 9 from the land of plenty.
Have a peek at this silliness:
In addition to the points, the former Hoosier also contributed six boards, four dimes and four steals for good measure.
Yep, dude's pretty good.
But it appears Oladipo may have had some extra incentive in regard to the Cavaliers.
Back when the guard went to Indiana in the Paul George trade, Cleveland owner Dan Gilbert made some fairly innocuous remarks about the deal, suggesting that the Pacers could have gotten a better package for a valuable commodity such as George.
Well, it seems Oladipo filed that little thought nugget away for further use, and is now using it to bludgeon the incompetent Gilbert.
Of course, the talented guard has been doing this all year, averaging over 23 points per game in a breakout season.
Ruh roh!
LeBron and the gang may be in trouble.
