Pelicans Execute World Class Troll Job on Gullible Nets

The NBA is fertile ground for psychological warfare, and one would think that every conceivable mind game had been attempted.

Well, until the other night in New Orleans, anyway.

Having just committed an unconscionable turnover and watching the Pelicans take a one-point lead with two seconds remaining in the game, the Brooklyn Nets called a timeout, presumably to strategize.

Then this happened:

Hmmm, that's a new one.

There's little ambiguity in that clip.

It appears that Solomon Hill walked over to the Nets bench and was shoved away by Ed Davis, who was apparently trying to preserve the sanctity of the huddle.

If this move by Hill was premeditated in an effort to provoke the Nets into a technical foul, then dude's one devilishly clever individual.

The Pelicans hit the techincal free throw and held on for a 117-115 win.

Afterwards, Davis failed to see the humor in the situation.

Well, at least Hill is certified as a clown, instead of practicing his clownage without a license.

Davis is absolutely correct about that flop, though.

The classics are truly timeless.
