NBA Mascots Gone Wild: Part 1

Professional sports mascots provide an amusing diversion during games.

However, on occasion, they can violate boundaries and personal space.

A recent incident in the NBA has shed some light on this growing epidemic.

Submitted for your approval:

Minnesota Timberwolves mascot Crunch.

Well, that looks perfectly safe.

There's just so much to unpack here.

Obviously, mascots play to the crowd, but do they have to be so close to the fans?

The father of Karl-Anthony Towns would no doubt agree with this sentiment.

The OG happened to be seated near the court where Crunch ended his kamikaze mission down the aisle.

Upon impact, our furry hero and his sled made contact with an empty seat, which in turn banged into Senior's knee.

Ruh roh!

The retired high school hoops coach is now considering a lawsuit against the club.

Well, that certainly wouldn't make things awkward or uncomfortable for his kid.

As frivolous litigation goes, this would be far from the most ridiculous.

Perhaps mascots will now be a bit more careful when using apparatus in their stunts.

And for the love of almighty Odin!

Stay out of the crowd.
