Monstrous LeBron Billboard Frightens Gregg Popovich
LeBron James is larger than life in many ways.
However, with the King now holding court in LA, he's literally towering over a major American city, his marketing visage looming over the morning commute.
Apparently, this sobering reality doesn't seem to bother anyone, with the notable exception of San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.
The area around the Staples Center is practically hemorrhaging Bron Bron advertisements, with many buildings festooned with his image.

That's deeply unsettling, as LeBron appears to be prepared to swat away the helicopters that may or may not be deployed to prevent him from laying waste to the City of Angels.
Ever the voice of reason, Coach Pop shared his thoughts on the subject, admitting his abject terror at the specter of a giant LeBron from his hotel window.

It's a sad state of affairs when one of the most accomplished coaches in NBA history is paralyzed with fear due to an overzealous advertising campaign.
Here's the billboard that Popovich found so objectionable:

Beats became the official NBA headphone partner this season. During the 2017-2018 season, the NBA generated an estimated $1.12 billion in sponsorship deals. pic.twitter.com/boCEOgfNtH
Look what you have wrought, Dr. Dre.
