Metta World Peace Ejected From BIG3 Game Almost Immediately

The artist formerly known as Ron Artest has returned to competitive basketball.

Well, let's call it organized basketball.

The BIG3 League, which was conceived by Ice Cube in a moment of extreme hubris as an excuse to bring together aging hoopsters, is normally a nostalgia-fueled exercise in futility.

However, when you mix in a dash of Metta World Peace, fan-friendly entertainment will soon follow.

Well, friendlier than that.

Somehow, Peace managed to get himself ejected from a recent BIG3 game less than a minute into the contest.

Have a look at this nonsense:

Of course, any battle between the Trilogy and Killer 3's is going to be heated, but MWP added some additional spice with this outburst.

Everyone seemed incredulous afterwards, including Cube and head coach Charles Oakley, who was so confused he actually addressed our hero as Ron.

In his defense, Peace probably realizes that he shouldn't punt the basketball into the crowd, but he also understands the value of entertaining the mob.

After being asked to leave, dude even paused for a backstage selfie with an eager fan.

Finally, an athlete embracing the responsibility of being a role model.

Metta World Peace for the win.
