It's Time to Celebrate the Unconventional Genius of Nikola Jokić
Nikola Jokić is officially a thing now.
The Denver Nuggets' unlikely superstar is blossoming right in front of our confused eyes, and it's weird and wonderful all at once.
Our large friend with the creamy center is laying waste to the NBA playoffs, first dispatching the monument to consistency that is the San Antonio Spurs in seven games with an absurd 23/12/9 line for the series.
And this is his maiden voyage in the postseason, mind you.
Oh, it's true.
But those long, doughy limbs are just getting cranked up.
Just ask the Portland Trail Blazers, who were rudely introduced to playoff Jokić in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
That methodical set shot is the best.
Dude's doing things that someone who looks like him shouldn't be able or allowed to do.
Like the following act of hubris:

Obviously, this one didn't end well, but it ruled anyway.
And somehow, Serbia's gift to America is even more entertaining and media friendly off the court.

See, that's both fun and relatable.
And here's some more Jokić-themed wackiness:
As long as Denver continues to survive and advance, we can continue to experience Jokić.
So go Nuggets.
