Chuck and Shaq Have Yet Another Contrived Argument on Basic Cable

Inside the NBA is without question one of the more entertaining sports talk shows in existence.

A big reason for this would be the incredible chemistry developed over many years between Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley.

Oh, and of course the staged catfights involved Sir Charles and Shaquille O'Neal.

All part of the well-practiced shtick, my friends.

The TNT staple provided more wacky hijinks a few nights ago, when the gang starting screwing with Shaq again.

That's just so damn good, especially the snorting from Ernie.

You'd think this act might get stale after a while, but it's still a really good time.

While the animosity is mostly contrived, there's a thin layer of truth to the disagreements, which makes it more authentic.

For example, this is infinitely better than the phony yuckfest we're subjected to every Sunday during the NFL season.

Each dude plays his assigned role to perfection, with Ernie and Kenny as the straight men to Chuck's court jester.

Of course, Shaq hasn't been in the fold as long, but he'd have to be the Terry Bradshaw of the crew.

Actually, Chuck may be the Bradshaw.

It's all so confusing.

Now obviously, Shaq is genuinely sensitive and insecure about a number of subjects, which inevitably leads to some fun exchanges.

Yes, Shaq does like to mention the jewelry.

Okay, that one got hot, although the irony of Barkley saying Shaq should have more rings is pretty rich.

And finally, some general tomfoolery, with everyone taking shots at the Diesel:

You know what, here's a compilation, peppered with Shaq being defensive and threatening to kick everyone's ass:

Ah yes, the origin story.
