Your Weekly MLB Ballpark Animal Sighting

Once again, a rogue animal has inserted itself into an MLB game.

And yet again, it was a cat.

This familiar narrative played out once more at Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark during a spirited tussle between the Reds and Pirates.

Please enjoy:

That was probably the most exciting development of the evening, and the helpful play-by-play from the announcers only enhanced the fun.

As you can see, it was a small kitten, or furry feline, as described by the color dude in the booth.

Perhaps it was the desperation, but that little bastard was really moving.

If stealing bases was still a thing in MLB, there may have been a 25-man roster spot in its immediate future.

However, this isn't the case.

It does always seem to be a cat getting involved, although other animals have made appearances over the years.

That peaceful dove undoubtedly regretted meeting Randy Johnson right before it exploded.

And who can forget when that tiger mauled a player sliding into second base during a game.

Oh wait, that was a movie.

Sorry about that.
