Storylines Collide as Post-Season Swings into High Gear

It was a long, crazy year in baseball, one that saw a once-dismissed franchise battle its way from worst-to-first and remain there formidably for the rest of the season.

We saw a notorious loser finally break its postseason drought and a couple of fan favorites step up and show that they’re ready for the limelight again.

And you thought betting on the World Series would be easy this season.

Now that the dust of the regular season has finally settled, however, the question is whether or not those Dodgers, Pirates, Red Sox, and Braves can turn their summer success into fall championships.

Currently leading the MLB futures is Boston, with 4:1 odds of winning the World Series. They’re trailed by Los Angeles at 17:4, the Detroit Tigers at 5:1 and the St Louis Cardinals at 11:2. Atlanta is going off at 7:1.

The team with the lowest MLB odds heading into the postseason is none other than the Pittsburgh Pirates at 10:1.

The rest of the playoff pack consists of American League hopefuls in Tampa Bay at 8:1 and Oakland at 15:2, giving fans of every variety plenty of options to choose from as the proceedings get under way.

Needless to say, there are plenty of storylines to follow this October. Then there are the moneylines. Check the Bovada data tool on our Home page for a daily look at those.

Nothing like adding a little personal intensity to what is always the most intense time of the season.
