Giancarlo Stanton Don't Need No Stinkin' Humidor

NASA is looking to contract private companies to launch their payloads.

Not that the dude isn't providing value already, but that would make for yet another revenue stream to offset Giancarlo Stanton's mega-contract.

What's more, the Colorado Rockies can and do provide the ideal launching pad for his power, hosting a 504ft blast yesterday:

Stanton's feats are surely generating a new genre of fans.

Stanton's still got a ways to go before anyone can make a practical projection of an assault on Barry Bonds' career home run total.

Incidentally, Bonds has a front-row seat to the fireworks this season after setting the stage by showing the Marlins' sluggers a moonshot or two of his own.

That's all well and good, but Stanton still represents baseball's Great Clean Hope for the gold standard of all baseball stats.
