Dodgers Have the Ace, but Cards' Deck Is Stacked

In baseball, especially, it's good to stay with the hot hand.
And when the St Louis Cardinals take the field in Dodger Stadium today against none other than Clayton Kershaw, it seems obvious whose hot hand will be holding the ball.
Maybe that's why Bovada has set the Redbirds at a healthy -$367 before the first pitch.
But sometimes, one team just has another team's number under certian circumstances. And when St Louis faces Kershaw, their mojo defies the odds:
It's at-bats like Matt Carpenter's in Game 6 of last year's NLCS that foils the Bums' ace lefty:
The Cardinals need this game for a series split, as well as for keeping up with the hot-again Milwaukee Brewers. Coming into today, there's a 6½-game gap between the two.
Look for this to be a tight one, and with a price like the defending NL champions are getting, there's enough of a statistical undercurrent to go for a healthy payday.
Prediction: St Louis Cardinals -$367
